A logistics company manages the process of confirming order deliveries using Proof of Delivery (POD) documents sent by suppliers. These documents are received in a shared mailbox, and the users manually extract information to perform goods receipt (GR) in SAP. The process includes verifying material descriptions and quantities, updating quantities to match the POD if within the allowed variance, and transferring the storage bin to Will Call for the GR’ed items. - The bot scans the shared mailbox for POD documents.
- The bot extracts data from the PODs, including PO number, Order Acknowledgment number, material description, and quantity.
- The bot validates the Order Acknowledgment number on the PO in SAP.
- The bot compares each item against the extracted material details. If the quantity is within the allowed variance, GR is performed.
- The bot validates the GR’ed items and performs the storage bin transfer to Will Call.
